Bronwyn Heather Bleakley, an associate professor of biology at Stonehill College in Easton, received a $900,000 Faculty Early Career Development Program grant from the National Science Foundation to study the social interactions of guppies.

Bleakley said guppies are found in locations with large predators where cooperation is important, and in areas where no predators exist and cooperation isn’t as essential. She will study whether cooperative behavior comes from the same set of interactions in both those environments.

Stonehill College is a client of O’Neill and Associates.
