Phase II of the development features copper and metallic wall niches, grid pattern mosaic floor tiles.
CHELSEA, MA – As One North of Boston launches Phase II of its Greater Boston luxury living development, its interior design delivers the same vibrant style and sophistication that prompted its first 230 units to quickly fill with young professionals looking for luxury at an affordable cost.
Building on the mosaic light fixtures and resin infused bamboo flooring that characterize Phase I of this development, One North’s newest 222 units – which began leasing Jan. 29 and will be move-in ready this spring – will feature a lobby with double-height ceilings and light savers that appear to float in the air, and a lounge with copper and metallic wall niches, a digital sky wall covering, and grid pattern mosaic floor tiles.
One North of Boston’s high standard for sophistication and style are designed to inspire and attract young professionals more likely to spend time working, lounging and socializing in these common spaces.
“Young professionals today have an appetite for living areas that are bold, modern and stylish, and developers in Boston and beyond have seized on this trend,” said Dennis Duffy, Principal of Duffy Design Group, Inc., which designed One North of Boston’s interior amenity spaces. “The bar has been raised to design living spaces that are unique and imaginative, and we pooled our creativity and expertise to exceed these luxury living standards at One North.”
The second phase of One North includes a game room with tables for pool, poker, foosball and shuffleboard, as well as a media room. The layout is carefully designed to reduce boundaries and work as an extension of residents’ homes beyond their living units. In the club room, a colorful chevron tile pattern covers the bar and continues onto the ceiling, and wood and stone elements and warm hues help make residents feel at home.
“Our goal is to impress residents and their friends from the moment they walk into One North and as they enjoy its many amenities,” said Damian Szary, a principal of Gate Residential – the project’s developer. “Hitting the right note with a stylish, sophisticated design was crucial to attracting residents who crave a modern and sophisticated atmosphere.”
“We sought to design an interior space that was distinct from Phase I, while also providing continuity between the two buildings which form the One North of Boston residential community,” said Duffy.
Together, One North’s neighboring developments offer two outdoor pools and fire pits, onsite doggy daycare, two media rooms, two club rooms, an indoor basketball court and a state-of-the art fitness center with yoga and spin studios. One North of Boston is located among shops and restaurants in Chelsea, MA, less than a mile from Boston, and one Commuter Rail stop from Boston’s North Station.
